Technology Fulfillment Center Associate
Position Overview
The Technology Fulfillment Center Associate plays a key role in supporting the employee onboarding experience through the timely and accurate preparation, deployment, and management of IT equipment. This hands-on position is responsible for inventory management, asset lifecycle support, hardware provisioning, device imaging, and maintaining accurate asset records. Working under the direction of the Fulfillment Center Lead, the associate will help improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and hardware readiness while supporting the full lifecycle of technology assets.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Provisioning & Fulfillment
- Configure, stage, and deploy laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for end users.
- Ensure equipment is prepared and delivered accurately and on schedule to support Day 1 readiness.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the fulfillment process.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Receive, organize, track, and maintain inventory of IT equipment.
- Update and manage asset records within the asset management system.
- Follow established procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
Operational Execution & Process Compliance
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory control, device configuration, and fulfillment activities.
- Maintain consistency, efficiency, and quality across operational workflows.
- Support process improvement initiatives where applicable.
Mobile Device Recovery & Redeployment
- Identify, organize, and inventory unused tablets and mobile devices.
- Verify device information, including serial numbers, IMEI numbers, model details, carrier information, assigned phone numbers, physical condition, and warranty status.
- Wipe, reset, clean, and prepare equipment for future deployment.
- Identify and separate damaged, obsolete, or unsupported devices.
Warranty & Serviceability Validation
- Research and validate warranty eligibility and support coverage.
- Identify devices that qualify for repair or replacement.
- Maintain warranty documentation and tracking records to maximize the utilization of existing assets.
Inventory Accuracy & System Imaging
- Audit and update asset records to correct incomplete or duplicate information.
- Assign and maintain accurate device status classifications, such as reusable, repair required, or retired.
- Image and configure new computer systems for deployment.
- Re-image existing laptops to determine suitability for redeployment or retirement.
Asset Recovery & Disposal Support
- Assist with equipment recovery, resale, trade-in, and disposal initiatives.
- Categorize equipment based on age, type, and condition.
- Prepare asset inventories and reports for leadership review.
- Coordinate with IT support teams regarding final equipment disposition.
General Fulfillment Center Support
- Assist with warehouse and operational activities, including inventory organization, equipment staging, and workspace maintenance.
- Support additional fulfillment center initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS and Android), computer imaging processes, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience with IT asset management, inventory control, hardware deployment, or technical support.
